Slap Hitting Common Mistakes
The NUMBER 1 common mistake I see beginner slappers do is start in the VERY back of the box. This is super common and I actually was taught this way.
As a slap hitter, we are legally cheating and want to use the real estate of the batters box to our advantage as much as possible. If our goal is to get to first base as fast as we can, we minus well get a step and ½ head start!

Making this adjustment is going to be a hard if you’ve been taught to start in the box. Challenge yourself to move up and be middle back in the box. It’s so important where you start just so you are able to give yourself an edge!!
