This week, we’re talking about hitting slumps – they happen to the best of us! We’ve all been there: you feel like you’ve hit a wall, you can’t seem to get your mojo back, and you’re just about ready to give up. Don’t despair; there’s always hope!

Instead of bumming yourself out with negative thoughts and mounting frustrations, try analyzing the situation in a constructive and logical way. Check out the video to learn about my strategies for dealing with a slump, including:

  • Relaxing and being patient with yourself
  • Giving yourself a positive pep talk
  • Creating mini-wins to get into an optimistic state of mind
  • Building confidence during practice

Take a deep breath, stop beating yourself up over missed opportunities, and look toward improving in the future. Softball is a physical game, but there are also so many mental components. The better you can rise up after a personal defeat, the quicker you’ll achieve victory.
